Portuguese quilt

Another quilt made with Portuguese cloth. Almost all my fabric comes from Portugal. I buy mostly vintage stock from old family shops. Buying material there totally thrills me, I am a fluster with pleasure. There's something about the feel of old cloth, the dyes, the patterns, the thick wooden counters, the wall to ceiling shelves, the labels and the people. I should add that, for me, it is affordable; any fabrics that I like in London are priced way out of my reach. Though if I cost in the travelling to remote Alentejo villages to find the shops it doesn't really make sense. Except that I love it.

Adorei o quilt.
