Spring Apparel

Spring, and the desire to egg the warm weather closer, has brought a glut of clothes making on the blog front. My favourite is an Easter dress from moving hands. Sosaias (which means "only skirts" in Portuguese) is no longer only skirts, but shirts, children's dresses and, coming soon, world domination. Dresses made from from pillow cases by Meg. Rita has a whole children's clothes collection based of Fairytale fabrics. Rosa is a-sewing trousers for her girls with fabrics from her fabulous Retrosaria. It's true, elasticated trousers are so simple. Shame they look so rubbish on adults. For adults a smock from otchipotchi.
So far this spring I've sewn a top for myself and a cloak for a birthday girl. Except of course for doll's clothes. And they deceive. The time they take to sew is inversely proportional to the size of the garment.
Ruben will soon get a new "Africa Suit" (photo taken a year and a half ago) and so will the dolls. Shweshwe fabric use No.1
