Hawls from trawls

Quilts:
It would be nice if I could read Finnish. But the photos are enough. A beautiful and variable origami quilt with little flaps that change the pattern and colours of the patchwork. So many possibilities... Click on the photos to see better.

Flickr found quilts; made as they were intended, to re-use fabric: this one made by Gabi Carrasco from old clothes, here she tells you what they were. This quilt was an inheritance. I love the bold colour use of log-cabin. And finally this geometric cubes quilt from a project to re-use industrial waste fabric (if I understood the Portuguese correctly!).

Other Random stuff:
Delicate doodle handthrown mugs by Helen Beard (facial hair is so prominent in my life) inspired by Leila's shop.
The Mixed Emotions' comic strips by Rutu Modan (via Keri Smith)

I saved the following links a while back and so I am sorry, I cannot credit who they came from:
A so clever and simple calendar, just a strip of sticky tape, and a bold acrylic puzzle from mobilet design.
A knitted beard and moustache hat. More facial hair.
